Spring and Random Updates!!
It's spring time! The weather has been unusually warm out the past few days though, even for spring. I love spring, it is my favorite time of year. I always get a renewed grasp on motivation and wanting to be a healthier, better me. Anyone else love Spring and how it always seems to lift everyone's spirits out of the old gloomy winter depression that sets in?
I have been researching the past couple of days on what I want to do with my garden. I am so excited! We tried to have a garden a few years ago, and couldn't keep the dogs out, so I kind of gave up half way through the season. This year I will go full force to keep the dogs out of the garden! I am going to buy taller fencing than what we had last time. I also will do raised beds this year, as they are easier than getting tiller out! Although, it would probably be a great workout!
I want to give a shout out to my cousin Ry and her weight loss blog. She is an amazing person! She does not give herself the credit she deserves. Right now she is dealing with Cellulitis in her foot which the staph infection turned to a MRSA Staph infection. She had to go to the hospital last night for them to drain the fluid out of her foot. She will in no way let this get her down. She did have to back out of the Flying Pig Half Marathon this time around, Dr.'s orders. I have been researching some other 1/2's to do later this year so we can do one together. Yes, I can't believe I just said I will do another half!
Yesterday was weigh in day! I stayed the same. I know why, I haven't been exercising as much as I should, we are eating out, and I haven't tracked for 3 weeks. Back on the wagon of tracking I go! The weeks I track, I lose, the weeks I don't track, I don't lose or even gain. Makes total sense!
For those of you that may not know, Fat Mom 2 Skinny Mom is on Facebook as well.

Wow, where do I start?! It feels like it has been forever since I have blogged. Let's see here, last week I was in a funk because I hurt my foot. I didn't track, I ate like crap, we ate out a lot. Although Monday and Tuesday I didn't have any pain in my foot so I did Step Class at the gym. I did have a little pain about 15 minutes in but it went away and I was fine after a few minutes.
Wednesday was weigh in day. I went and did Zumba in the morning at the gym, took the kids to Subway for lunch, then had to head into work. With it being a beautiful 68° outside, I quickly did what had to be done at work and headed out for C25K W3D3 before my weigh in at 4:30. I ended up going to the Anderson Community Center and running the track we used to run for our timed mile run. Little back track here, for those of you not familiar with the C25K program this is what I did: Brisk five-minute warmup walk, then do two repetitions of the following: Jog 90 seconds, Walk 90 seconds, Jog 3 minutes, Walk 3 minutes, then a 5 minute cooldown. The track from BC was 2 1/2 times around to be a mile. I wasn't very happy with the time it took me to do this. It seems a week off with no running really set me back. Oh well, at least I did get a run in right?
Weighed in and lost .4 pounds. Which means I am still up .2 pounds from the previous weeks gain. I couldn't believe I had a loss! I will take it though as a blessing from above, since I really fell back into my old ways with feeling sorry for myself because of my foot issue. Still trying to work on getting over those little bumps without any issues.
Speaking of my foot, yesterday when I woke up, it was hurting again...go figure. It still is bothering me today as well. I really am freaking out about this once again. Typically I wouldn't worry about it and would just switch to walking and trying to walk faster. Thing is, I have this damn half marathon I have to worry about! I wanted to complete it in 3 hours and 40 minutes, which is about a 15 minute mile. I know a 15 minute mile walking is good, but damn. When I figured out my pace for my Monday run a couple weeks ago, it was 14:39....that was with running/walking folks. This is why I am scared! I guess I will ice and stretch my foot some more this week, and try to see where I am at on walking fast. My half marathon is only 8 weeks away!!! AHHHHHHH!
Next thing on my list to catch the blog back up is I decided to pick a goal dress for my 30th birthday. My original goal for my 30th was to weigh 165 pounds, that is a loss of 2 pounds a week. Better get on that! So that should put me around a size 12. This is the dress I am going to get IN A SIZE 12!
I really am anxious to dig into my workout dvd's that I own and actually see how many I do have. I know it's a lot and I know a lot are not even opened! Gonna try and see how many I can do! Would be a fun little challenge!
Well I am sure that I have bored you enough with all this ranting and was probably all over the place with this post, but hey its me. I am sure I will think of at least one more thing I wanted to say when I hit post.
